First time trying brunch here! The menu was a little bit limited, but we ended up enjoying everything. The burger was really good and juicy and I'm glad I added the egg. I would've added bacon too but that would've made it a pretty expensive burger. The bacon Benedict was also pretty decent. We were worried whether they would have dessert with brunch and thankfully they did so we got the sticky date cake which never disappoints and the tried the salted caramel gelato which was definitely a little salty but pretty yummy. Much easier to get a res than dinner!

Chicago's upscale British style pub where cuisine of England meets India. From the owners of Au Cheval comes this Indian and British restaurant with a vintage setting. The look of this place is incredible - one of the most aesthetically charming places I've ever been to. You'll need to hound their reservations page to snag one and but it's well worth it. We ordered the following: 0.Spiced Lamb Samosa 0.Chicken Breast Tikka Masala 0.Tandoori Style Chicken 0.Charred Naan Bread + Green Chutney Yogurt FOR DESSERT : The sticky date pudding was out of this world. It tastes very similar to a sticky toffee pudding if you've ever had one. The cake is sweet with a nice chewy composition and pairs very well with the ice cream and the hint of salt from the white crystals on the cake. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Make sure you give this restaurant a try! You will enjoy each bite!!

This place is beautiful. We sat outside on the patio which was so nice and they have heaters but the inside is absolutely beautiful and I look forward sitting inside sometime. The food is very expensive but everything was fantastic. We went to brunch and I got a simple egg dish but it blew me away with flavor. The service is fantastic as well!

A Romanian, Filipina, Iranian, and Colombian walk into an (as I understand) British restaurant. If that's not the best representation of the benefit of old world colonialism, I don't know what is. Because without that, I don't think any of us would've met. Silver linings right? Anyway, walking up to the restaurant, I didn't anticipate being greeted by the absolute beauty that is the interior decor of this restaurant. It's was also well attended by a good customer base so it's clearly a popular venue. To start, my friends ordered a tray of oysters to share. I don't know where they were from but they were well selected. A delicious reminder of how relaxing it is to be on the coast. I ordered the roast beef sandwich. The sandwich was phenomenal. I was definitely slathering it in horseradish and dunking it in the beefiest jus I have ever had. While I would suggest it, my friend let me try her blood sausage pot pie. The roast beef was good but there are far better, far more unique dishes to order here. I have plans to go back to order that pie for myself. Closing out the meal, we ordered the date cake. I have never had a more decadent dessert before in my life. Extremely moist, not too sweet, and the richest, butteriest butter pecan ice cream I have ever had. I just bought the ingredients to try to make it myself. To summarize, my number one rule in the culinary arts is to never try the same restaurant or dish twice. Armitage Alehouse is precisely why rules are meant to be broken.

Woke up at 9 AM and secured a 4:30 PM reservation at Armitage Alehouse on a Tuesday. Definitely one of the most sought after seats in the city. The Sticky date cake is one of the best, most decadent desserts I have ever had. That alone made the visit 5 stars. Another thing to note is that there are only 2 pot pies on rotation daily so not all of the flavors you see on the menu may be available the night you dine.

10/10!! Armitage Alehouse checks off all the boxes for us. Downright good food and drinks. We were able to snag seats at the bar and were served by Zack. We got the Caesar Salad, Chicken Pot Pie, and Fish & Chips, with some awesome cocktails to go along with our food. My favorite had to be the Last Word with Mezcal which is off menu and it was so good! Their Old Fashioned is also solid. Definitely feel good vibes here. We will definitely be returning when we're back in Chicago. Shoutout to Zack for serving up really solid cocktails! Excellent staff and service as well. Definitely one of our favorite joints.

Food: 5/5 , Ambiance 5/5, Service 5/5, Reservation Process 1/5 * Naan trio for appetizer: Get all 3! My favorite was the green chutney but the spicy lamb as good too! Whipped feta was more basic, but good for balancing the other two. * Chicory, Mango, Paneer Salad: The cashews in this were my favorite part! Could've had more mango or more paneer, but overall, a great balance of flavor and texture. * Fish & Chips: yum yum yum, some of the best I've had. This is a must-have, even if you get it as a shared appetizer instead of an entree. * Heritage Chicken Pot Pie: Buttery flakey crust, rich filling, and a bone marrow chimney (which I've never experienced before). We all shared this too- it's possible! At this point, we were VERY FULL (3 ladies). However, we still went in for dessert. * Obviously date cake because everybody has to try it before they die. And honestly, the gelato is the true star of the show. Velvety salted caramel gelato- omg I need that on its own. * Chocolate mousse: good! I'm not the biggest chocolate girlie, but this was a good desert after eating a heavy meal. * BIRTHDAY ICE CREAM WITH CARAMEL: Happy birthday, Molly!!! They surely gave us a treat with this complimentary dessert. Finally: the reservation process: If you're not logged in at exactly 9 am 14 days ahead of your reservation, good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor. I logged on exactly 9am for a Friday reservation. The platform was moving slowly (because us plebians were all bombarding the bandwidth at the same time) I selected the 7pm reservation (yas), and then there was a glitch and it said the reservation was no longer available! The next set of options were 4:45 pm or 10:00 pm. Obv, I went with 4:45 pm, and we were there about 2 hours. All in all, it was fine, it's just a stressful reservation process that you must be conscious of weeks in advance, and waiting at the exact right moment to click. If I feel like braving that experience again (or a friend is welcome to do it for me), I'll be back!

Always love the ambiance of a hog salt restaurant so I wasn't disappointed here. It was quite dark so if that bothers you just be aware of the vibe here! Always excellent service. Good came out quickly and we shared everything. Tikka masala was great, the potato around the pot pie and the lamb inside was an excellent combo and flavors. French fries are our guilty pleasure so of course we got them! Naan bread was so buttery and full of flavor. Was a little messy with all the spices but we didn't mind. The green chutney yogurt was my favorite dipping sauce but all three had a strong flavor to complement the naan. Can't wait to find another time to go back!

Everything that I had read about the Armitage Alehouse on Yelp turned out to be true on my first visit for lunch. The warm British pub decor, the amazing wait staff and the spectacular food and drink. The best thing about lunch is it's easier to snag a reservation and the menu is the same as dinner. As a big time fan of pot pies, I was in pot pie heaven. The duck and morel pot pie was incredible. Adding a splash of marrow on each bite made it heavenly. The Queen's Cup was an awesome gin-based cocktail. For dessert, the Salted Chocolate Mousse was rich and decadent. And my latte was huge and perfectly prepared. Can't wait to return for dinner and explore more of the menu.

Armitage Alehouse has been on my list forever, so when some friends surprised me with a birthday dinner here, I was ecstatic! The space is insanely beautiful and so cozy. The lighting and decor really make it feel like you're in a pub on the English countryside. The menu does a great job of that too! Pot pies, fish and chips, and Indian inspired fare add to that. We started with the charred naan bread and whipped feta. The bread with bubbly and topped with lots of delicious spices. The creaminess of the whipped feta paired perfectly. For my main course I ordered the wagyu burger -- to dieeee for! The thin pressed patties were crispy on the edges and super flavorful. The shoestring fries + truffle aioli was the perfect side. For dessert we ordered the iconic sticky date cake and oh my gosh stop what you're doing right now and book your reservation. It's so, so good and worth the five stars alone, but everything else about this place makes it a 10. So happy I got to try it out. Can't wait to be back!
